Can I claim psychology sessions from my private health insurer?

You may be eligible to claim psychological services from your Private Health insurer depending on your level of cover. To claim a rebate you need to ensure that you are covered by ancillary benefits insurance (extras). Once your account has been settled in full, we will provide you with a paid invoice and you are able to claim with your insurer directly.

How much will I get back from my private health insurer for counselling services?

The rebate you will receive will be based on your level of cover. It is advised that you contact your insurer to confirm your eligibility.

Can I claim if my child for my child to see a child psychologist?

All private health insurance claims depend on your insurance coverage. If you have family cover your child is probably eligible.

How do I pay for the services of your counsellors?

You may use cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit accounts.

Can I use both my private health insurance cover and Medicare for seeing a clinical psychologist?

You cannot use your private health insurance cover to top up the Medicare rebates for psychological services. If you are eligible for Medicare rebates then you need to decide which service you will use to cover the payment for psychological services you receive.
