Cecile has over 30 years of experience in  counselling and psychotherapy. Cecile’s work is underpinned by psychodynamic, analytic and object relations principles and informed by Internal Family Systems Theory (IFS), Emotion Focused Therapy, Self- Psychology, Interpersonal Therapy, Existential Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Cecile’s present focus is on short and long-term individual and couples counselling and therapy. Cecile believes that the therapeutic space is a place where a person can come to express themselves with the aim of gaining clarity and resolution in a way that is unique to them.

Cecile brings a broad range of knowledge and experience to the therapeutic relationship. Her experience extends to group therapy, training and facilitation of individuals and groups in the areas of personal, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills development as well as organisational consulting and executive development.

Cecile believes the therapeutic and/or counselling relationship is crucial to really helping and supporting someone to understand themselves and therefore meet their goals. It is often important to understand the influences and experiences a person has had in their lives which brings them to where they are today in order to move forward. Cecile’s clients would describe her as warm and very professional as well as authentic and insightful.
