Ciaran Barton

Ciaran is a registered psychologist. His extensive experience spans across the lifespan, providing therapy to individuals from childhood through adulthood. One of Ciaran’s special interests and areas of expertise is in working with the LGBTQIAP+ community, where he passionately supports his clients in their unique journeys.

Ciaran adopts an empowering approach to therapy, emphasizing the individual’s strengths rather than focusing on deficits. His therapeutic style is eclectic, integrating the best elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy to address his clients’ individualised goals and needs.

The cornerstone of Ciaran’s practice is the creation of a safe, trusted environment. He is deeply aware of the vulnerability inherent in the therapeutic process and prioritises the establishment of a secure, non-judgmental space for his clients. His approach involves gently challenging clients towards personal growth and being the best version of themselves. Ciaran’s non-judgmental approach fosters a strong therapeutic alliance, allowing his clients to feel comfortable, respected, and understood.
