Danielle Joffe

Social Worker

Danielle is an experienced social worker and is passionate about supporting individuals through the therapeutic process. She endeavours to assist clients to unpack issues, use self reflection, gain insight and increase coping skills.

Danielle has experience working with individuals including primary school aged children, young people and adults. Danielle brings a warm and down to earth approach to her work with a focus on collaboration and building rapport. She aims to create a safe space which is client centred, confidential, transparent, respectful and non-judgmental. Danielle utilizes a strengths based,  holistic  approach to her work using individualised treatments plans.

Danielle has a particular interest in working with family violence and trauma, and has extensive  experience supporting both victim/survivors and those who use violence. Additionally, Danielle is dedicated to working with clients from diverse and CALD backgrounds having worked with Refugees and Asylum seekers for many years.

She has experience working in a range of different settings including non profits, community health, Government Organisations and schools. She has a wealth of experience conducting thorough assessments, identifying and managing risk and addressing protective concerns. Danielle’s experience also includes group work including facilitation of court ordered programs such as men’s behaviour change.

Danielle aims to meet the client where they are at and employs a ‘whole person approach’ in order to address underlying issues . She uses a range of evidence-based interventions to ensure the clients best interests are met. These Include ; cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) , psycho-education, emotion focused and, solution focused work, play and interactive therapies, narrative therapy, positive psychology, motivational interviewing and strength based perspective.
