Emma is a registered psychologist with a range of experience in individual and community settings. Her approach utilises a variety of disciplines including interpersonal, psychodynamic, emotion-focused and cognitive behavioural therapies underpinned by client centred and humanistic principles to assist individuals to achieve their personal goals.
Emma works with individuals of all ages. She believes that psychological wellbeing and human flourishing is a life-long journey built on a foundation of self-awareness, personal reflection, congruence and flexibility. She approaches the therapeutic process collaboratively, viewing the client as the expert in their own life but sometimes needing assistance to reconnect with their strengths and considerable abilities.
Emma is an experienced group facilitator having written and facilitated regular groups for individuals experiencing a range of mental health and personal challenges. She is also a trained coach specialising in NLP and positive psychology-based interventions. Prior to becoming a psychologist, Emma practised law and maintains an interest in forensic psychology and family law.
