Heather is a registered psychologist with AHPRA and also has a degree in Counselling. Heather is experienced working with individuals; couples and groups for nearly a decade, primarily in private practice. Heather is a person-centred, positive, strength-based clinician and life coach. She is committed to inspiring individuals, couples and groups to journey towards reaching their potential.
Drawing on her rich life experiences and ethos, Heather takes a holistic approach to ‘wellness’. She works collaboratively with clients towards meeting their ‘felt’ needs and goals using an eclectic therapeutic approach based on principles expressed within, though not limited to, Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Coaching psychology.
This strengthens Heather’s ability to support the client in identifying and learning to value their ‘true self’ and purpose. It often involves the client’s participation in ‘recovering’ from past issues, the strengthening of ‘the self’ and some development of interpersonal communication though skill building. Outcomes aim toward clients experiencing greater mastery, well-being, connectedness and a healthier quality of life.
One of Heather’s passions is to influence the ‘influencers’ through mentoring and focusing on transformational leadership.
Heather’s clients would describe her as being direct and thorough, yet warm and supportive in her approach.
