Melissa is a registered psychologist and teacher with over 15-years’ experience. She has worked internationally and locally in schools, government and mental health organisations. Melissa works with clients at all ages from child to adult and with a wide range of issues.
Melissa is a firm believer that a trusting environment and positive rapport between the client and psychologist are fundamental to effect change and improve mental wellbeing. To support this, Melissa places the client at the centre of their assessment, and works collaboratively with them to thoroughly understand their background, concerns and preferences.
Melissa tailors counselling support by developing an agreed treatment plan that recognises the client’s existing strengths and skills and articulates their specific needs and therapeutic goals. Melissa adopts an integrative therapeutic model and draws on a range of psychological perspectives and interventions to provide individualised support that includes but is not limited to: cognitive and behavioural, schema, solutions-focused, acceptance and commitment, person-centred, and family systems.
Melissa is available for appointments in our Camberwell location on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
