Romy Briner

Clinical Psychologist

 

Romy is a registered Clinical Psychologist. She works with adults (18 years plus) and has experience treating a wide range of mental health issues. These include adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and borderline personality disorder.

 

Romy has a particular interest in assisting individuals and couples to resolve relationship issues, and has specialist skills working with mothers and their infants during the perinatal period.

 

Romy’s therapeutic approach incorporates aspects of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy. She is passionate about supporting her clients to reflect upon and find meaning in their life experiences. She always remains curious about the individual experiences of each of her clients and, as such, is committed to providing highly individualised treatment.
