Sally has over 19 years of experience in organisational psychology, translating Positive Psychology research into training tools and practical techniques to help people flourish in the workplace and at home. She is experienced in ‘strengths-based change’ and coaching techniques such as VIA Character Strengths Questionnaire and Appreciative Coaching as well as the science behind changing behaviours and forming new habits.
Sally’s counselling work is underpinned by Emotion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology (strengths, mindset and positive emotions research) and Narrative Therapy.
Sally’s present focus is on short and long-term individual counselling and coaching. Her strengths are her ability to help her clients shift their focus from their problems and weaknesses towards their strengths, assets and opportunities. Sally remains open and curious to her clients’ experiences rather than playing the ‘expert’ and she helps her clients identify ways to generate more positive emotions in their lives.
