Child psychologist-guided program Camberwell, Fitzroy and McKinnon

The experienced team of adolescent and child psychologists at Reflection Psychology Group have developed a highly effective and fun group program called Social Eyes Wise for children aged 5 to 11 years old. The program has been specifically designed to enhance the social skills and confidence of your child. The program consists of an initial one-on-one session for your child and yourself to meet one of the child psychologists who will be running the group. This will allow the child psychologist to get insight from you the parent as to what social difficulties your child is experiencing. It will also give your child the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the child psychologist who will be running the group. The group component will consist of four two-hour sessions weekly on a Saturday from 10am to noon for a month.

Socialise Eyes Wise course objectives

The core aim of the group program is to help your child develop tools and in turn confidence in their own social skills. By interacting with other children they will get the opportunity to actually socialise whilst further developing these skills. Using evidence-based and highly proven strategies, our highly trained child psychologists will help your child build their social skills whilst having lots of fun.

Cost

If you are able to get a Health Care plan referral from your GP, the out of pocket cost for the entire ‘Social Eyes Wise’ program including the one on one introductory session with a child psychologist and the four two-hour Saturday sessions is $340 per child. Rebates are also accessible through some private health insurers, provided you are covered for psychology.

We’ll announce upcoming Social Eyes Wise Program dates and details shortly. Our child psychologists are available in McKinnon, Fitzroy and Camberwell.
