Dean Spilkin

Registered psychologist

Dean is a Registered Psychologist currently completing his Clinical Psychology Registrar Program and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

He has experience working across private practice, school settings, and university counselling services, supporting clients with a range of mental health concerns.

Dean provides a warm, grounded, and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. He places strong emphasis on building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, recognising that meaningful change is built on connection, collaboration, and rapport. His approach is relational, person-centred, and engaging, with a focus on meeting clients where they are and supporting them at a comfortable and sustainable pace.

He works from a humanistic framework and draws on evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, and Schema Therapy. Dean has experience supporting anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem concerns, and neurodevelopmental conditions.
