Kym Bardoel
Psychologist
Kym is a registered psychologist who works with adolescents and adults. Her style and therapeutic approach is influenced from a Counselling Psychology background and a person-centred focus.
Kym likes to take the time to understand each individual, and their personal experience of their challenges. She aims to really understand what is going on from her clients’ perspective and to work together with them at their pace, to support and encourage positive change in their lives.
Kym’s main focus is to help her clients feel supported and comfortable in the therapeutic space. She works with individuals to gain a deeper insight into themselves by working together to explore the issue from a holistic perspective.
Kym draws from a range of therapeutic approaches, depending on the clients’ individual need. These can include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion and Compassion focused approaches, Mindfulness and Solution-Focused approaches. Kym’s clients would describe her as friendly, warm, supportive and understanding.
