Clinical Psychologist

Kelly Bramstedt is a clinical psychologist with 10 years’ experience working in the mental health field. Before moving into private practice as a psychologist over 4 years ago, Kelly gained extensive clinical experience by working for several years in adult mental health services in both community and inpatient settings as a Psychiatric Nurse.

Kelly works with adults and adolescents. She is experienced in working with a broad range of issues. Kelly adopts an integrative therapeutic model combining Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Kelly tailors the approach used to individual needs and preferences of each client. Kelly aims to provide a warm and supportive environment for each client to help them explore, identify and address issues that are concerning them and to assist them reach their goals.

Kelly approaches every session with the knowledge that the client is the expert on themselves and therefore knows themselves best. She also believes that every client has resources and skills to help themselves and aims to help clients reach their goals and help them to recognise and use their own strengths and skills as well as develop new ones.

Kelly’s clients describe her as warm, authentic and very knowledgeable.
