Ivana is a clinical psychologist and provides in person and online therapy. She completed her degrees at Deakin University, Cairnmillar Institute and Charles Darwin University. Her background includes working with a diverse range of clients across a various settings including private practice, non for profit organisations and public health. She provides therapy using evidence based interventions tailored to individuals needs.
Ivana is endorsed for the practice of clinical psychology by the Psychology Board of Australia.
She is a member of the following bodies Australian Psychological Society (APS), the Australian Institute of Emotion Focused Therapy (AIEFT), Melbourne Centre for Emotionally Focused Therapy (MCEFT) and the International Society of Sexual Medicine (ISSM). She is committed to and practices in line with the ethics and ethical guidelines issued by these bodies.
Ivana is approachable, passionate and committed to building strong therapeutic relationships with a client centred, humanistic and strengths based approach. Her style is warm, collaborative and respectful. She considers the therapeutic relationship a key aspect of therapy and endeavours to create a safe environment for all her clients. She utilises an integrative approach to therapy and acknowledges the individual needs of clients and how these may change throughout their life depending on the situations and stressors they experience. Ivana places emphasis on working collaboratively with other health professionals including general practitioners and allied health professionals to gain a deep understanding of the client to inform her treatment methods
She takes a holistic approach to psychology emphasising evidence based treatments and research to inform and tailor treatment plans. Her practice is underpinned by acceptance and commitment techniques, mindfulness and compassion focussed principles and informed by cognitive behavioural therapy and schema therapy.
Ivana has a strong passion for mental health and general wellbeing. Ivana is an LGBTQIAP+ ally and her pronouns are she/her. She is a multilingual clinician who can provide therapy in English, Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian
