Mark Danko

Psychologist

Mark Danko is an experienced psychologist, family therapist and couples counsellor, and provides counselling and psychotherapy for people across the lifespan. He has worked with a diverse range of mental health concerns.

Mark’s clinical experience has fostered a particular interest in body image disturbance and supporting individuals who experience neurodiversity.

Believing that therapy should enhance personal growth and develop strategies for change, Mark’s approach is informed by psychodynamic principles while integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). He emphasises the importance of the therapeutic relationship, recognising that psychological growth flourishes when this connection is established.

Aware that people can be steeled by adversity, Mark works towards enhancing the process of growth in the individual. The goal of Mark’s counselling practice is to help clients achieve a deeper understanding of themselves, leading to more fulfilling and harmonious lives.

Mark’s clients describe him as being warm, authentic and extremely insightful.
