Rhea Gupta

Psychologist

Rhea is a registered psychologist with experience working across private practice, community, and academic settings, supporting clients across the lifespan with a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental concerns. Alongside her clinical work, she has contributed to the training of future psychologists at Deakin University, bringing a strong foundation in evidence-based practice, reflective work, and clinical reasoning to her therapy.

Rhea aims to create a warm, safe, and genuinely supportive therapeutic space, where clients feel comfortable showing up as they are. She understands that beginning therapy can feel daunting and prioritises helping clients feel at ease from the very first session.

Therapy begins with a thorough intake and assessment, ensuring Rhea understands your full story, context, and what matters most to you. Sessions are client-centred, and the treatment plan is tailored to your goals and needs, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Progress is regularly reviewed, with ongoing feedback encouraged to ensure therapy remains helpful and aligned
Rhea views clients as the experts of their own lives, supporting development of confidence in their own coping skills. Rapport and emotional safety are prioritised, and Rhea brings warmth, humour, and flexibility into sessions, recognising that connection is central to meaningful change

Rhea draws on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and attachment-based frameworks.

Rhea takes a neurodiversity-affirming and culturally informed approach, recognising how identity, family systems, and lived experiences shape emotional wellbeing. She is committed to creating inclusive spaces where clients from diverse backgrounds feel safe, respected, and understood.
