Nenita Batica
Psychologist
Nenita is a registered psychologist with more than 15 years of experience supporting adults across hospital settings, forensic services, family violence programs, alcohol and other drug support services, and non-profit organisations. Nenita works collaboratively with her clients. She aims to create a safe, supportive environment where her clients’ strengths guide the direction of the therapy. Her practice is grounded in the belief that everyone has an innate capacity to heal from traumatic experiences. At times, this process becomes interrupted when events exceed our internal and external resources. This can leave us feeling disconnected from the person we want to be and unable to live the meaningful, thriving life we strive for. Nenita’s approach focuses on restoring this process by supporting clients to reconnect with their strengths and move forward in a way that feels safe, supported and meaningful.
Nenita is an EMDRAA Accredited Practitioner. She incorporates Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness in her therapeutic approach. Nenita’s clients describe her as being authentic, engaging and very insightful.
